HELPFUL STUDY TIPS:
1. Review your notes and highlight the main ideas, people and events. 2. Create notecards to help you study. 3. Review our class powerpoints posted on this website. 4. Read corresponding sections in the textbook. 5. Watch John Green's Crash Course World History videos online (some are more useful than others). 6. Use online games from websites like Quizlet or Cram! 7. Have your parent/guardians help you review by having them ask you to explain an event or person. Normally, if you can verbally explain something it means you KNOW it! This also will help as you discover what you don't know when you are discussing it with someone else. Then you go look up the answer. 8. Study in increments. Set a timer, study for 15 minutes. Do something else. Then return to studying for 15 more minutes, etc. No social networking during this quality study time. 9. Turn off social media. Close your door, and FOCUS. 10. Make it about the quality of your study time, not the quantity. |
